If you’re planning a proposal (reading this, it’s probably fair to assume that you are), you’ve probably had more ideas than you can count. Some good, some bad, some that are just a bit meh. Regardless of what you’re planning, you’re probably hoping to get a few tears from your partner – it’s ok, everyone wants to get the same thing. The first thing you need to do is make sure you’ve chosen the perfect engagement ring from the range of wedding rings at The Wedding Band Shop. The next step is to plan the proposal.

So, if you’re looking for a creative, tear-jerking proposal, here are ideas that you can use entirely or just for some inspiration!

1. Fake Art Gallery

This idea takes some planning, creativity, and a bit of a budget. Essentially, the goal is to create a space that replicates an art gallery – it doesn’t have to be massive – just a room will do the trick. The gallery is then filled with photos or items significant in your relationship. Show your partner around, then when you feel the moment is right, get down one knee and pop the question!

2. Hot Air Balloon

This idea may sound a little cliche, but there is a reason it’s so popular. Imagine, up in the sky at sunset or sunrise, taking in a beautiful view, withing nothing but the two of you and the fresh air to enjoy. Sounds pretty stunning right?

3. Beach Art

Beach proposals are popular, and it’s easy to understand why. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it – just means you need to add your own personal touch. Why not get a sand artist to help? They could build you a custom sculpture in the sand or write an amazing message for you. For an extra touch of romance – propose at sunrise or sunset.

4. Room with a view

Views are always romantic and make any moment special. Why not try and get a hotel room that has a view of your city or perhaps somewhere else? Either way, it’s a great excuse for a staycation or trip away, which will make the whole occasion even more romantic. Don’t rely on the room alone, make sure to add some candles or rose petals.

5. Family Affair

Proposals are special, but if your partner is close with their family, why not get them involved with the proposal? This has two major benefits. Firstly, this takes some of the pressure off you as you won’t being it alone. Secondly, all of your partners loved ones will be there to celebrate with them!

6. Blockbuster

This last one can go one of two ways. If your partner is a big fan of movies, why not make a short film a with proposal scene? Simply say your making a film with some friends, and ask your partner if they’d like a staring role. Alternatively, why not hire a screen in a cinema, invite your family and friends to the screening, and show a film you’ve made where you propose to your partner!
